Kids Quad Bikes

At Outside Play UK, we have worked hard to source a fantastic range of Kids Quad Bikes, encompassing both Petrol Kids Quads and Electric Quad Bikes. These bikes are the perfect introduction to the world of motorsport for children from an early age, and with four wheels instead of two – these bikes provide an easier to ride vehicle VS a two wheel kids dirt bike. All of these quad bikes are very well balanced, which means that you can safely introduce your child to the world of biking, in a safe and controlled way.

Having established that a quad bike is the right thing for your child, the next issue is deciding which model is right for them. There are so many makes, models, drivetrains and motors available – it can be tricky to get the balance right between buying a quad bike they can use and enjoy immediately VS buying a quad bike they can continue to use and enjoy as they grow older. Get this balance wrong and you can buy an underpowered quad which is no fun at all, and at the opposite end of the scale – you can buy a quad bike which is too powerful for the beginner.

As a general rule of thumb, it’s important to look at the manufacturers weight limits of the quad bikes – whilst also considering that your child should be able to comfortable reach the pegs of the bike to remain fully in control – get these two aspects right, and your kids first quad bike will be comfortable and safe.

The next consideration is what power quad bike is right for your child – 50cc quad bikes and less (usually 49cc) are ideal starter quad bikes, with larger engine quad bikes making perfect sense for children who are able to ride. It’s almost always worth buying an automatic kids quad, as very few kids have any comprehension of gearing and how it works. Engine sizes range from 50cc up to 200cc for experienced and older kids. The range encompasses bikes from the likes of Hawkmoto, Kayo, Quadzilla, SMC and Stomp.
